Thank you for this article defending the Christian faith. There is another reason for people’s hostility. The idea of the need of a Savior is strange and offensive to the non-believer.

The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 NLT blueletterbible.org

To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? 2 Corinthians 2:16 NLT blueletterbible.org

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. John 15:18 NLT blueletterbible.org Of course the speaker is Jesus.

The sad thing is when Christians cause people to be hostile to Christianity (and Christ) by bad and obnoxious behavior and attitudes.

Let’s continue in the type of good efforts to make the world a better place you mentioned in your article; and be sure that if someone is offended it is because they have been confronted with the claims of Jesus Christ and their need for a savior.
